Ressel grove

Ressel grove is a forest learning path located on Jurjev hill (the western part of the Ankaran peninsula).

The path passes through the forest of typical tree species, shrubs and herbaceous species of oak forest. It is named after the world known Czech shipbuilder and inventor Josef Ressel, who was a forester by occupation, and worked in Croatia, Italy and in our country. On the south side of the Ressel grove, there is the largest olive plantation in Slovenian Istria.
